Schedule of competition

Saturday Oct 3, 2009 F1A F1B F1C F1P Sunday Oct 4 F1Q, F1G, F1H, F1J Events (10 minute fly off F1A, F1B and F1C Sunday morning)

Duration of rounds

One hour Rounds All Events, 10 minute flyoff rounds

Breaks between rounds

None Scheduled except for fly offs

Maximum durations in each round

First round maxes F1A, 180 seconds, F1B 180 seconds, F1C 180 seconds, and F1P 180 seconds- 7 rounds 3 minute maxes. Due to wind Saturday morning normal extended maxes were not used. Wind after round 7 meant one 10 minute flyoff Sunday morning for F1A, F1B and F1C.
Mini Events 120 Max (5 rounds) with flyoff of 4 minutes, 6 minutes and 8 minutes flown on Sunday.
F1Q 10 second motor run, 2 minute max flown on Sunday.

Interruptions and delays

No interruptions but normal flyoffs unable to be flown Saturday due to winds over 9 meters and hour.

Weather and visibility

Start of Saturday wind was from 3-5 meters per hour which reduced maxes to 3 minutes all events and calming through day until increasing to over 9 meters per hour at end of round seven so no flyoff on Saturday. Wind at 4 meters Sunday morning and F1A, F1B and F1C flown in good visibility. Turning calm for Mini events.

Flight line - changes of position

No changes required but F1A F1B and F1C flown from different line than Mini events due to wind direction. No line changes during the events.

6 for F1A/ 8 for F1B/ 5 for F1C/ 1 for F1P Minis and F1Q flown from line

Number of competitors per pole

3-4 per pole with most poles at 4

Local rules or deviations from Sporting Code

None, beyond no use of extended first round maxes due to wind conditions

Observations on timekeeping

A time your pole mates contest (fly one and time one) with no controversy noted.

Prize-giving and issue of results - confirm organisers provide results with full names, nationalities and number of juniors

Gold Silver and Bronze Medals to places 1-3 with first place receiving glass Champion’s Trophy.
