Maximum durations in each round | First round for F1A 240 seconds and 240 seconds for F1BCQ. For the remaining six rounds flight time was 180 seconds. |
Interruptions and delays | Round 7 was cancelled. Jury decision was based on models entering the orchard in Round 6. Based on time remaining and the desire to complete flyoffs in the evening a decision to cancel round 7 was made. 1 hr delay after round 6 to relocate starting line to accommodate wind direction change. Flyoffs were delayed to as late as possible to provide as fair as possible conditions. Flyoffs for F1C were required to go to the following morning because 3 sportsmen made the 9 minute maximum. |
Weather and visibility | Excellent weather conditions for February. 1 to 3 m/s wind and temperature of 25C. Flyoff weather was excellent with 1 m/s wind and excellent visibility. |

Any incident or accident | Carrol Allen (F1B – USA) had an attempt with a possible faulty stopwatch that showed 22 seconds. It was decided to uphold the timers score. Later analysis of his altimeter showed that it was correct |
