Schedule of competition

Start round 1 09.00, round 2 10.30, round 3 12.00, round 4 14:00, round 5 16:15; flyoffs from 19:30

Round 1 hr 15 minutes

Maximum durations in each round

Round 1, 2, 4 and 5 180 seconds (3 minutes)
Round 3 240 seconds (4 minutes)
Flyoff round 1 120 seconds (2 minutes) DT flyoff
The strength and direction of the wind at flyoff time would have resulted in models flying into trees given an extended maximum time. For that reason a DT flyoff was held, this decision was reached after consultation with all flyers participating in the flyoff. The DT time was set for 120 seconds, with the final score being the time to the ground. For every second over 120 that the model DTed and penalty of 2x the number of seconds over 120 that the model DTed was applied.

Interruptions and delays

A 45 minutes hold was called between rounds 4 and 5 due to a change in wind direction.

Mainly sunny, good visibility, 10-18oC. Wind speed 2 m/s at first, increasing to 5/s at flyoff time

Prize giving held following flyoffs. Trophies, certificates and beer or sweets for top 3.
Results displayed on scoreboard with names, nationalities and junior identification
