1st rd 8”00 - 9”00, then break, 2nd – 5th round from 14”00 – 18”00
Fly off at 19”40 in F1A and 20”30 in F1B,Q
in death air (wonderful conditions like in paradise)

Duration of rounds

5 rounds with duration of 60min

Breaks between rounds


Maximum durations in each round

1st round 240 sec in F1B, 210 sec in F1B , 180 sec in F1Q
2nd and 3rd round 120 sec, 4th and 5th round 180 sec

Interruptions and delays

After 1st round due to thunderstorm and heavy rain break until 14”00

Weather and visibility

windspeed in 1st round 1-3m/sec, in rd 2 - 5 3-5 m/sec
visibility was well

Flight line - changes of position

In F1A 3 poles, in F1B 2 poles, in F1Q 1 pole in every round

Number of starting poles

15 poles in F1A (together with F1H) and 7 in F1B ( together with F1G), 2 in F1Q

Number of competitors per pole

6 participants/ pole

Local rules or deviations from Sporting Code

5 rounds like announced in bulletin
Active sportsman were timing together with the volunteers timekeepers to teach them , due some of them were “beginners”

Observations on timekeeping

Excellent timekeeping – no trouble about wrong timekeeping, due to self timing each other with several volunteers tiemkeepers and supervisor timekeepers
Flexible timekeeping - 2 flyers allowed to fly same time by timing each other to finish the 5 rounds after long weather break of 5,5 h

Prize-giving and issue of results - confirm organisers provide results with full names, nationalities and number of juniors

Price giving ceremony was held with the closing ceremony on Sunday evening
Results were published in Ilbesheim on the scoreboard in every round
Final results available on the internet site www.creasus.de/ikarus/ergebnisse.html

Any incident or accident

1 competitor must be disqualified by too long line
