1h 30 for 1st round
F1A 1 h 20 for 2nd round and 1 h 10 for other rounds

None except 1 h 30 for lunch after 4th round

Maximum durations in each round

3 minutes (too windy in first round, considering the retrieving to have a max at 4 minutes) 5 minutes in 1st Fly-off, 7 minutes in 2nd FO and 9 minutes in 3rd FO

Interruptions and delays

None

Weather and visibility

F1A Clear sky in the 1st round, with then cumulus and strong thermal, then after round 5, clear sky with coming cirrus and wind to 4 – 5 m/s. Visibility excellent all day, including Fly-off
F1BCP Windy and cloudy for the first round, then weather improving with more and more sun and cumulus and wind up to 4 – 5 m/s. Excellent visibility

Flight line - changes of position

None

Number of starting poles

9 in F1B and 4 in F1C –P ( 2 flyers in F1P)

Number of competitors per pole

F1A 4 to 5 (maximum)
F1BCP 5 but as several flyers decided not to fly because of the strong wind in the morning many poles had only 2 to 3 flyers

Local rules or deviations from Sporting Code

None

Observations on timekeeping

No incident and no complaint

Prize-giving and issue of results - confirm organisers provide results with full names, nationalities and number of juniors

Trophies for winners up to 5th place (included)
Trophies for the 3 first juniors
Trophies for the 3 first ladies
Results on score board and printed results given to all participants at the Prize giving, with full names, nationalities and juniors mentioned

Any incident or accident

None, except one reflight because of timekeepers mistake (timing a model to max and the flyer declared that he had not maxed, but no official time for him). This competitor made a max in the reflight !

Protests

None.
Some F1C flyers were not happy to see an F1P as a winner, classified with them, despite the new rule…! They argued that in California, F1P were not classed with F1C… We noted that the rule says “ F1P “MAY” be classed etc.. It should be “MUST” or SHALL”, in order to have the same procedure everywhere.
